“Moth Cardigan Persimmon-dyed”
A jacket based on my woven fabric which was made with various kinds of ecru threads, and then dyed with a natural color to finish the gradation-look.
A persimmon dye is called “Kaki-shibu” in Japanese, which is a traditional ingredient to dye made with fermented extract of persimmon and has been passed down for centuries in Japan.
The rich beige that looks like a mixture of pink and brown gives peace and healing to a person who wears it.
Long-time use increases the charm of the look, and its color doesn’t fade or run.
It’s also upside down-wearable.
You can enjoy either one of them depending on how you feel on the day.
Also, when putting the knitting part on your collar, it becomes a cocoon-styled jacket. Or when putting the gradation part on your collar, it becomes a straight-styled long cardigan.
